God answers prayer!

As most of you know, I've been praying for God to send someone to take over the Fellowship of Christian Bloggers and grow it to the next stage...and God has answered!

One of our members, David Brown, web designer/blogger/paramedic and all around nice guy who loves the Lord,  has stepped up. David authors Renewed Strength - - an awesome web site and community, chock full of spiritual encouragement, resources and inspiration.

You know what they say...if you need something done, ask a busy person. :)  Well, I didn't ask David directly - he volunteered, but I know that he's God's appointed person to grow the FOCB.

He's already set up the new site/blog and has built a small team to help him with the growth (smart man).

I will still be involved with FOCB in several ways, but it feels good to know that it's not just me. God grew our blogging community so fast, that I couldn't keep up with it we have a team. God is good!

We will no longer be blogging at this site, but all the previous posts (nearly 50 posts) can be found at the
new site -

Drop by and check out our new home on the web and while you're there, why not use the contact form to drop a word of encouragement to David and the team.

God bless you all - see you on the new site!

Overwhelming Response to "Are You the One?"

Yesterday's post, "Are You the One?" brought an avalanche of email to my inbox.

That's a good thing!

So many of you responded with such words of encouragement and kindness that my heart is overwhelmed. You really are a special group of friends!

I am still sorting through the offers to get involved with FOCB. There are so many talented and willing folks with so much to offer, that it's going to be really tough to make a decision. Fortunately, I don't have to make that decision on my own.

I'm asking you, my friends to pray with me for the future of FOCB. I've known from its inception that the Fellowship of Christian Bloggers was an idea given to me by God and that it was going to grow in leaps and bounds. Even at the beginning, I questioned if I would have the time and skills to take it where I knew it was going. Please pray with me at this juncture in our group about where God would have us go.

Can I ask you to pray about these points?
  • Am I to release FOCB entirely to another for the next phase of growth or am I to partner with someone and still be involved in growing FOCB
  • Who would be the right person to take FOCB to the next level
  • Provision of the skills and funds needed to continue growing FOCB
  • That God will continue to bless our blogging members as they share their lives and their love for Jesus Christ with the world.
  • That God will lead folks who need to know Him or need encouragement in their Christian walk to read our blogs so that He can minister to them through the things we share.
If you are one of the people who responded to my request for help, thank you soooooo much! I am reading through your emails, visiting your blogs/web sites and I am praying earnestly about the future of FOCB and who God wants involved. Please be praying with me.

Hugs to you all,

Are You The One?

To all Fellowship of Christian Bloggers Members:

Hello, friends!  I’m writing to you to day to ask if you are the one I’ve been praying for?

FOCB has been in existence for 16 months. In that time we have gone from 1 member (me) to over 300 members and it would probably be twice that many if I had not closed the membership several months ago. I didn’t want to close it. I want it to grow and grow and grow, but unfortunately, I no longer had the time to devote to it that I once had. I’m still getting daily requests for membership and we are averaging around 100 hits per day on the blog, although I have not been posting very often.

I’ve been praying for someone to take over the Fellowship of Christian Bloggers. This group has sooooo much potential for growth and maybe even for monetary income for the right person. So, my question is...are you the one?  The one I’ve been praying for? Are you tech savvy? Would you know how to grow this website and blog? Do you have the time to devote to growing the FOCB? More importantly, do you have a heart for encouraging others to use blogging to share their lives and their love for Jesus Christ with the world? That’s the mission of the Fellowship of Christian Bloggers, so I’d like to see someone step up who has a real passion for Christian blogging and Christian bloggers.

I am not selling this organization – I just want to pass the torch on to someone who feels called in this area.  (Preferably a current member of FOCB.) If you feel this might be you, please contact me so that we can talk about it. In the event we have several persons interested, I will prayerfully consider each one, then make a selection. If you're interested or want more information, please send me an email at focb(at)

It has been an absolute pleasure visiting your blogs and getting to know you all. I would still like to be a member of the FOCB, but just don’t have the time to give it the attention it needs.

I’ll ask again...are you the one I’ve been praying for?

Thank you for taking the time to consider this and for being a member of the Fellowship of Christian Bloggers.
